I have a great friend from college named Torrey. Torrey and I have been friends for 12 years and have been through lots together. She is the best person I know at staying in touch and keeping friendships alive and flourishing! These pictures are of me, Torrey, Katie and Shane at Torrey's house in December.

Shane was out of town last week for work, so I took the kids down to St. George to visit Torrey and her husband Greg and CUTE daughter Makenna. We had tons of fun- it was so nice to get away from the norm and swim, sing kareoke, sit in a rainstorm, discover Eva Cassidy (she is the best singer EVER- Torrey constantly instroduces me to new music), be amused by Sam's reaction to Torrey and Greg's 2 dogs (you'd think they were werewolves instead of beagles), watch Makenna dance and sing and smile her coy little smile, and have adult conversation with Torrey.

We went to the zoo together- when I show up at the zoo, all the animals HIDE, so it was cool to see this tiger chillin' in the water. And this is Makenna chillin' in her Chicco stroller.

Sam had a GREAT time playing with all Makenna's toys, and swimming in her bathtub, and mauling her mom. (Torrey taught Sam "cut the pickle- tickle tickle!" and it's his new obsession!) So thanks Torrey and Greg and Makenna for showing us a good time, and for being such good friends!
